Overview

The Philippine National Police Foundation, Inc. (PNPFI) was established by private citizens with a common goal: To make the Philippines crime-free and safe by supporting the Philippine National Police as it copes with the demands of an ever-evolving society. The Foundation was inspired by similar organizations in other countries such as the New York City Police Foundation and the National Crime Prevention Council in Singapore that strongly advocate the role of civil society in the prevention of crime. PNPFI was incorporated on 26 June 2000 and was formally launched through a pledging assembly on 28 June 2000 at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel, with generous pledges from many civic-minded and philanthropic citizens. People from all walks of life, from corporate decision makers to humble fish vendors, have donated to the cause of the Foundation.
